Merry Christmas!!! So, I am now an official Vancouverite, soon to be on my way home for my first visit home as an outsider. This should prove to be interesting. In a couple hours I will be hopping (hopefully) onto the northbound Greyhound for one disgustingly long lonely ride. A long expensive trip home to keep my mother happy.
Everything in the big city is going pretty well. My job (the smoothie place) is going reasonably well. Getting time off for the holidays was no problem, my bosses Natasha and Sandra are taking their Christmas vacation to Waikiki. I'm jealous.
I haven't killed my cousin yet, even though he is a pain in the ass. And my girlfriend hasn't killed me yet, even though I'm a pain in the ass. I don't think I could ask for much more.
In just over a day I should be pulling into the station at home. Assuming that I don't end up stranded in Prince George or somewhere worse by myself for Christmas. Which I have the distinct feeling is very possible. Busses suck! Then I will spend the rest of the holidays trying to keep from snapping and murdering my family. :)
I miss the days when all I had to do was sit back and wait for people to give me presents.
Anyways, Happy Holidays!!!

Anyone seen my brain???
Seriously, I haven't a clue where it is...
Do you want to hear a funny story? Well you're going to anyways:
November second I had booked a ticket to go to Vancouver for a week, to visit my cousin again and see my girlfriend. Also two of my room mates had uprooted and migrated to Victoria a month ago so it was a chance to see Britney and Keeley, whom I missed immensely. My vacation was a blast! I got to see them all and spend time with Britney, my most favourite person in the world! We went clubbing of course, very much fun. I love gay clubs. We had the VIP room at Celebrities for my girlfriends birthday party last saturday, which was very cool. Also, oddly, I was dragged to "Britney Spears Night" in honour of her new CD the DJ played nothing but, you guessed it, Britney. That was painful, but fun anyways. Almost anything is fun when you're with a fleet of glamorous gay boys. :) Honesly, haha. So after my week of being with my favourite people and an amazing amount of fun it came time for me to catch my bus home. All my stuff is packed and by the door. We have to leave in 10 minutes. And I decide. I'm not going home.
I had intended to move to Vancouver with my cousin in January anyways. I have a couple bags full of clothes. I can find a job by the end of the week. I was getting shit hours at my job, (two days a week. woohoo), and if i stayed in that house much longer I was going to murder my room mates. So... why go home at all. I'm saving a couple months of superfluous work and the price of another bus ticket. I have a ticket that's valid until next October, which can be used anytime in case of emergencies. Or to go home for Christmas, which I will do or my mother will have my head.
So I've quit my jobs (my good boss was really understanding and cool, and the other boss didn't really care because she didn't really like me anyways), I told my roomates I'll get my stuff at christmas, and apologized profusely to my mother, which didn't work, she still wants to kill me.
This is the most insane, irresponsible, stupid, irrational thing I have ever done in my life. And I love it. I am absolutely terrified. I have never been so scared in my life. And you know what? I need to be scared for once!
Man I've got balls!

Summer is gone... :(
But... I'm not in school so I don't have to care! This is a strange new feeling. I'm not going back to school and I no longer live with my parents. :S
I am currently renting a house with 4 other girls. That is correct, 5 teenage girls in a house together... all the time... it's not as bad as one would think though. We all manage to get along pretty well. For the most part anyways. It helps that we all work a lot, so during the day there are only a couple people home at a time. After 11 however, once everyone is off work, there are rarely less than 8 people in the house.
It's been a while since I posted anything, so I might as well fill you in. There was a lovely homecoming upon my return from Vancouver, about a month ago. I stepped off the bus to learn that my brother and my grandfather were both in the hospital, in separate hospitals actually.
My brother had been camping with my mother at Lakelse. Messing around on his bike in one of the fields he launched off a bump, hit the ground with his front tire, and the forks that attach the tire to the frame sheared off, very cleanly, in exactly the same place on both sides. So then the front tire was no longer attached to the bike, he and the frame went face first. One of the forks still attached to the tire went into his mouth, breaking his upper jaw, his sinus cavity and a few teeth. The other fork hit him in the neck about an inch from the carotid artery, but didn't break the skin and just left a very nasty bruise. So he nearly died and was in the hospital in terrace for a week before being sent to Vancouver to have his face reconstructed. He's home now and doing fine. He is however, lacking a few teeth. So he looks like a hillbilly.
My grandfather has been in and out of the hospital since I returned from Van. He had gallstones, not fun. The first time they sorted him out and sent him home after a week. Two weeks ago he went to emergency again, apparently they hadn't done a very good job. He went right into surgery that night, and before they could begin he went into heart failure and he started coughing up black stuff. Needless to say, they did'nt operate, but instead stabilized him and sent him to Vancouver the same night. I got to say goodbye before he left. I was pretty well convinced he wasn't coming back this time. But a week later he was back in Rupert! Still at the hospital, but home at least. I visited him at the hospital everyday until he got home last week. My Farfar is okay now, but tired. I promised him when he feels up to it, he can teach me how to make Danish chicked soup. :)
So now everyone is finally home and okay. And no one in my house has killed anyone yet. And the QYA is starting up with week, which gives me something to do.
Now I am getting kicked off the computer at the internet cafe. That's okay, because now I have to go buy catfood, and lightbulbs and do other grownup things. Yikes.

Vancouver Is FUN!!!
Yay! Pride trip pictures!

Blake with his *cough*fake!*cough* abs and my new friend Pauli. At work at Celebrities.

Pauli and Me at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Pretty cool.

Way too many people + swaying bridge + hangover + pizza and slurpees = very bad.

"Details in the Bible."

Me, (creepy) Blake and his friend Jeremy. Out on the town.

"Bridezilla Bush... Married to War and Homophobia."

I don't know what this one was for... but Blake made me take lots of pictures of them. haha

That was pretty cool.

I just think this is kind of a neat picture.

These guys were intense. That'd be pretty painful to wear the whole parade in the blazing sun.

This guy was twirling the flag like a baton. He just about stabbed a couple people, but only nearly.

These two are actually insane I think. Walking the parade on stilts half nude. Crazy cool!

He has a pretty sign.

A bright pink fire truck. Enough said.
Okay. I'd say that's enough pictures for now.

HAPPY PRIDE!!!!!
Happy Pride!!! Happy Pride!!!
Vancouver has been soooo much fun! I'm staying at my cousin's place, right on Davie St. Such an awesome place. Little Sister's book store is literally 30 seconds away. And I totally bought one of Ellen DeGeneres' books yesterday. hahaha. I saw China's entry for the fireworks on Wed. They were amazing.
My cousin is entirely leading the way and making the plans. So basically, I got to be a gay boy all week. And have done pretty much all the things gay men do. Well not all the things... obviously. Shopped, lazed around on the beach, went underwear shopping at Priape (didn't find any without the package pocket for me. dang). I've now been to every bar/club on Davie. Celebrities wasn't great, I didn't like 1181 either.I prefer the Oasis, or the Odyssey. One of Blakes friends actually recognized me from the Xtra West article. haha I was not expecting that. Frankly, I didn't think Blake had friends that could read.
The parade yesterday was absolutely amazing. Soooo good. Many, Many pictures to follow. Missed the Dyke March though. :(
Hope to get to art gallery tomorrow before I leave. There is a Monet to Dali exibit that is supposed to be amazing.
Now if you will excuse me, I must go drink a litre of water and go back to bed in order to be functional later.
